Thorstad Chevrolet, Inc. located at 1702 South Park Street, has been a part of the South Side Madison Community since 1970. For over 36 years, Thorstad Chevrolet, Inc. has offered to the people of Madison and the surrounding communities the full line of new Chevrolet cars, trucks, and Medium Duty/Commercial vehicles from one of the most complete inventories around. In addition, we have always maintained a quality pre-owned inventory of approximately 100 cars and trucks.
In support of the tens of thousands of vehicles sold over the years, Thorstad Chevrolet, Inc. has consistently provided an award winning service department. Our technicians are continuously engaged in GM training, and usually exceed 100% of GM’s requirements by spring before taking on additional testing. In 2006, GM listed us as having completed 751% of their required training. Our 20 GM Certified Master Technicians, 9 of which are “GM World Class,” their top training designation, work on an average of 30,000 repair tickets annually. No GM store in the country has more World Class technicians than us. Contrary to what some think about Dealership Service work, our expertise does not come at a premium. Our shop rates are extremely competitive.
In addition to passenger car and light duty truck service, we have a medium duty truck service department. A separate Prep Shop that specializes in vehicle detailing, a full service Collision Repair facility and one of the largest Parts Departments in Wisconsin round out the “Service Is Everything” identity that Thorstad Chevrolet, Inc. has exemplified over the years.
The term “Sales Professionals” has always been held in high regard at Thorstad Chevrolet, Inc. Since 1970, all sales consultants and managers have been carefully selected, and once a member of our team, they go through rigorous interpersonal and product training. All sales professionals and managers in the New Vehicle departments are certified by General Motors “Mark of Excellence” recognition program. We have very little turnover of Sales Consultants, so when their valued customers return years later, they can find the same person they worked with, and not have to start over building trust with someone new. In fact, in a rare bit of turnover, one of our New Car Salespeople just retired in 2007, 42 years and 6,542 sales after starting here.
